Are backpacks free on frontier?
Free Personal Item – All passengers are allowed one free personal item that will fit under the seat in front of you. It can be no larger than 14” tall, 8” wide, and 18” long (including handles, wheels, and straps). Think backpacks, purses, briefcases and computer bags.
What size bag can you carry-on Frontier for free?
What size bag is free on Frontier flights? If you purchase a basic fare with Frontier, only your personal item is free. Ticket holders are allowed ONE personal item with a size limit of 14 x 18 x 8 inches.

In general, you can bring two backpacks on a plane with you if one of them is considered as carry-on luggage and the other one is small enough to be considered as a carry-on personal item. Carry-on luggage should fulfill the size restrictions as specified by the airlines and should fit in the overhead bin.
Does Frontier really charge for carry-on bags?
Our fares include one free personal item. Carry-on baggage is not included in your fare. You can purchase carry-on baggage at the time of booking and after booking.
Does Frontier make you pay for seats?
Our fares do not include a seat assignment. You may purchase a seat assignment at the time of booking and after booking. If you’ve already purchased your ticket, you can buy a seat assignment on your Manage My Booking page through logging into My Trips or when you check-in online within 24 hours of departure.
How strict is Frontier with carry-on?
Frontier are relatively strict when it comes to carry on luggage and personal items. You’re allowed one small personal item on board free of charge, whilst full size carry ons are chargeable. For peace of mind, it’s advised that you stick within their limits.
